Having a lovely day?

Hope you're having a lovely day! I've been playing with watercolours trying to make a bokeh card, it wasn't meant to be today so  it became something else.

Cute Card Thursday: Anything Goes
Simon Says Stamp: Anything Goes
4Crafty Chicks: Something Old (the tiny star sequins) /Something New (the Winsor & Newton watercolours)

Materials used:
The background was made by adding Winsor & Newton watercolours onto a wet card stock. Some ghost circles added with white ink, white dots with Sakura pen, white acrylic paint dots, Viva craft pen half pearls and tiny star sequins.
Free sentiment stamp from Craft Stamper stamped with black Archival.

Thank you so much for visiting, it's much appreciated! Hope you'll have success when trying a new card making technique, I'll stay safe from Bokeh for a while and then have a new go.

Two for Rudolph

Same crafty goodies as for the card in the previous post, only a small design change. And I'm amazed, you know that my camera gave up? I clenched my teeth and pulled out the portable studio, set up the lamps, closed my eyes and took a photo with my mobile phone...it looks very good, I'm surprised!

I would like to join Rudolph Day with these two, I read the rules so I think I got it right this time.

Violets Photo Studio

Hope you're having a wonderful weekend, sweeties! I'm a proud owner of a small portable photo studio. A half life time ago I used to work at photo studios developing films, you know before everything turned digital?! Yes, I'm that old, almost stone age. At school I used to play with two dear friends in a dark room, we took experimental photos of the suburb we lived in...and had a blast even though nobody else recognised our talent, hehe.

So now when I at last ordered this studio my camera has decided to die, I guess this two pics are the last ones I can manage to squeeze out of it. Isn't this somehow a picture of how life is, something great ends and something new exciting begins.

Challenges:
ABC Christmas Challenge: Quick and Easy
Less Is More: Lovely Sketch
Materials used:
Penny Black Pine image stamped with Pine Needles Distress ink, heat embossed with a mix of pearl and sparkle powders. More Distress inks added with pen nibs, high lights added with a white Sakura pen.

The background stamp is a retired one stamped with Stormy Sky Distress ink, some of the ink was removed with a cloth before stamping.

The edges were coloured with a sponge and Stormy Sky Distress ink, and some liquid pearls added with a Viva Paper Pen. The sentiment is from Vilda Stamps and says Happy Christmas in Swedish.

The stamping was made on leftover card stock, the sentiment on a tiny paper strip and then the image was layered onto odd snippets I'll never use.

Thank you so much for visiting, it's much appreciated. I hope that you find something new and exciting, like a new card design or new colour scheme.

Seeing zebras in daylight

Howdy! Hope you're doing fine, apparently I made a faux pas with the last OLW card by using washi tape, I thought of it at as an embellishment, my bad. So I'm back to safe card stock layers. The CAS is sooo difficult sometimes, this was a pleasure. I've seen a lot of zebra patterned clothes, I do have a scarf and a dress with said pattern so here we go.

Crafty Calendar: Anything Goes
Pixie's Snippets Playground: Snippets (ribbon and the white cardstock strip)

Materials used:
-Papermania image heat embossed with Platinum embossing powder, coloured with Aqua Markers and Distress ink, dots of Stickles added.
- Freebie sentiment stamped with Versa FIne
- DQWV designer papers
- Tim Holtz flower die, Stickles, Itsy Bitsy stamens, ribbon from a shirt, half pearls glitter thread from stash
- Quickutz heart dies for the inside
Thank you so much for visiting, it means a lot to me. Hope you're having a nice Saturday evening. We've been to an out door concert and it poured down, I'm soaked and will make me a nice cup of cocoa and wrap me in a wool blanket and make some blog visits.

Golden Foliage

Good morning crafty friends! Hope you're well and blessed with mojo. Yesterday on an early walk I saw an almost decayed leaf on the dirt, you know when they look like ghost leafs? I began this card with that in mind but ended up with golden leafs. The sentiment somehow felt wrong with ghost leafs, maybe something for Halloween.

Challenges:
Less Is More: Foliage

Materials used:
Penny Black sentiment stamped wit Versa Fine, golden Liquid Pearls.
Exchangeable's leafs stamped with embossing ink, heat embossed with Tsukineko fine golden powder. Coloured with Distress inks using pen nibs, Some bronze and golden Perfect pearls added, almost forgot, I draw some lines with a golden Tsukineko pen.
The Washi tape is from my local book store.

Thank you so much for visiting! Oh, I have to tell you, check your reading list, I found out that one of the blogs I've followed had to turned to a nude one. I'm more in for in crafty blogs! I hope the poor lady's account hasn't been compromised. I'm heading back to the crafty corner to see if ghost leafs can turn to something nice and cheerful.

Your time to shine

Glitter and Christmas works perfectly for me, I love Christmas trees with lots of bling. Not a tree in sight here, but some bling that didn't want to shine when I took the photos. The sentiment says "Happy Christmas and Happy New Year from all of us to all of you" ins Swedish.
.
Challenges:
Charisma Cards: Buttons and Bows
Fantasy Stampers: Buttons and Bows
Simon Says Stamp: Make It Shine
Materials used:
Tilda stamp coloured with Aqua Markers, Distress inks and pen nibs, Derwent watercolour and Inktense pens. Distress Stickles added for some sparkle.
Sentiment stamped with Distress ink and cut out with a Nestie.
The MME Bella Bella paper strips, Liquitex embossing paste and Creative Expression mask.
Joanna Sheen pine cone dies, Panduro wood buttons coloured with Distress ink, silver thread, Kaiser half pearls, ribbon from a cardigan.

Thank you so much for visiting, it means a lot! Especially now when Mr Blogger isn't in a good mood, sometimes he doesn't allow me to comment at all, isn't he a bit prickly this summer?

You'll never know

You'll never know how many tries a card takes before it turns out as you wish. This was one of them, I wanted to make a CAS card with rainbow stamping. I wont show them! I need some more practise. All I can tell is that the hanging bin is full of rainbow coloured pieces, so I made an easy one with rainbow colouring. The stacked circles and the layering were made with leftovers, you know them strips you get when cutting cardstock, they're perfect for this.

Challenges:
CASology: Rainbow Colours
Everybody Art Challenge: Favourite Stamps
Crafty Calendar: Anything Goes
Dream Valley Challenges: Favourite Colour Combo (at the moment it's rainbow colours)

Materials used:
Itsy Bitsy image from the Paisley set, I cut out the flower with a craft knife. It was stamped with black Versa Fine and coloured with Aqua Markers.
The Itsy Bitsy stamps are from India, but I know that Reprint sells the same here in Sweden, I guess they go with different names.
The sentiment is Inkido and it says "Thousand thanks" in Swedish, do you say that in English?

Enjoy the rest of the weekend, hope you'll have time for crafting.
