Friday Face

Hope you're having a day filled with peace and love wherever you are! I'm back with a painting of a sweet young lady that stings and is all drama. Still incapable of acting. I guess you met someone like that too?

I'm entering Paint Party Friday and Show Your Face even though I don't seem to get the colours right, the winter darkness is challenging photo wise.

Lots of colour layers.

Thank you for visiting, it's much appreciated! We've been enjoying Christmas with family and visited a church concerto today. They had the cutest manger I ever seen. Take good care and stay warm.

How to manage curve balls

So what keeps you going when life throws you a curve ball? You know those curve balls that make you revalue everything. There is the obvious choice to spend a lot of time with family and friends for support, you need a lot of coffee too. For me card making, long walks and the gym are peaceful sanctuaries to just be with no need to verbalise everything. A place to re-energize and just be. I need the both when the going gets tough. Lady Robusta seems to enjoy her cuppa whilst texting.

Image from Java Card Art Line.

Other materials used:
Promarkers, Stickles, Glossy Accents, Liquid Pearls,  DCWV glossy green wood patterned card stock, free DP from magazine, Spellbinders small bauble die

Scandinavian Winter

Every now and then, read almost never, I'll end up with a quick card. My idea when I began making cards was to create loads of them as it would be so easy. The cost would be low too....you may laugh out loud now :)

They take ages and lot of tries, the cost is simply silly and I have to find new hiding places for all the stash, but I do love it! May I introduce the Scandinavian Winter line and enter November Rudolph Days. The sentiment says Merry Christmas in Swedish.

DCWV designer card stock, Martha Stewart punch, ribbon from Spain, Archival ink and embossing powder.

With this I'll enter:
CAS on Sunday: Christmas
Addicted to CAS: Dimension

The crisp cut outs and the soft ribbon :)

Thank you so much for visiting, it's much appreciated! Hope you're all well, staying safe and warm or cool.

In the style of Hayao Miyazaki

I'm back to join Art It Friday- Show Your Face; I made a self portrait in the style of  Hayao Miyazaki.

He's an animé artist who's created Spirited Away and My Neighbour Totoro. I so love the style! I added touches of zentangles for some texture and gave myself a new hairstyle.

I used Halloween colours for them, it could work at spring time too. The sentiment says in "Wild roses and friends...always come back" in Swedish. The other half of the sentiment is hidden inside the card.
