Kitchen towels and a spring clean

Two posts in a weekend, that must be the first of this year. I used my fave Hero Arts large background stamp with mini Distress inks onto watercolour paper, spritzed water and waited. Lovely cheerful colours appeared!!!

Challenges:

This pattern reminds me of my Mum's kitchen towels.

Other materials used:
The corners were cut with an EK Success corner adorner, Technique Tuesday cut out from snippet and Recollections enamel dots.

So we're slowly moving into the spring; glorious sunshine, the birds are chirping with vigour, the Hazels are spreading their pollen, the spring bulbs are showing their first green leaves even though we have frost in the mornings. Is it to early to say "Hello Spring"?! The windows clearly states that they're in a desperate need of a spring clean. Urm, I do think I'll settle down with a cuppa and a magazine, the windows can wait :)

Sweet Stampin' for Mum

Good morning sweet stampers!!! It's time for a new challenge at Sweet Stampin', we want to see cards for the all loved Mothers or any Special Lady. So pick up a stamp, digi or rubber, and join us :)

We're being sponsored by Crafts U Love, please check our blog for the details and the teams gorgeous cards. Oh, we got a colour match here!!! I seem to go purple today :)

Challenges:
Crafty Catz: Special Lady
Cute Card Thursday: Florals

The gorgeous Mirri paper and the sweet image.

My Mum loved Teddy bears and this was such a sweet little thing that came as a freebie with the Craft Stamper Magazine. It was stamped with Black Memento ink and coloured with Pro Markers, some highlights were added with a white, purple and golden Sakura pen. The flower got some Wink of Stella.

The circles cut outs are Marianne design and the alphabet is Cuttlebug's Baby Face. Papermania bows and DQWV papers, golden pearls are from stash.

Just saw this, honoured to be Princess of Snark 23 February.

Thank you so much for visiting, it's much appreciated! Take good care of your Mums and yourselves. I'm so looking forward to see all the purple Hyacinths, but we have a few more weeks of winter.

Fluffy typewriter

Hope you're having a wonderful weekend sweeties. I'm continuing stretching the CAS theme with some pink glittery fluff stuff. If you work hard you really need to play harder. The thought was that the pink glittery fluff stuff should make one think about parties....but it only reminds me of those colour tapes that went crazy in old fashioned type writers and that my pinkies get stuck when writing. Oh, and those icy looks the type writer teacher gave me!!!

Crafty Catz: CAS, no DP, no Fuss
Dream Valley Challenges: Sparkle, bling and embellish

Materials used:
Freebie type writer image stamped with black Versa Fine ink onto a leftover cardstock snippet. Then stamped a second time with embossing ink and heat embossed with fine clear embossing powder. Remember to let the first ink to dry and that this works best with clear stamps so that you can see the first impression.

Fussy cutting with Snellen scisssors and layered onto the shiny stuff.

The sentiment was stamped with Exchangeable alphabet stamps onto other snippets with Watering Can Archival ink, heat embossed and fussy cut. Placed with 3D squares for dimension.

Thank you so much for visiting, it's much appreciated!

I put a spell on you

Hello sweeties, I'm glad to see ya'!!! I've been down with a really naughty bug; this is my first day up on wobbly legs, still coughing as mad, but much chirpier. It really have felt like someone put a spell on me; this card might work for Valentine too...for those who aren't in for the more romantic versions like in my previous post.

Challenges:
Pixie's Snippets Playground: Use snippets (I used snippets for digi stamping)
CAS on Sunday: Valentine
Crafty Calendar: Love is in the air
Fantasy Stampers: Love is in the air
Dream Valley Challenges: Valentine's Day

Mo Manning image and sentiment.

The image was coloured with ProMarkers and cut out with an oval Spellbinder die. The top of the ears was cut out with scissors and placed above the die to get a partial die cut. I used some scraps.

Thank you so much for visiting, it's much appreciated!
