Swirls & Pearls at Sweet Stampin'

Sending you some sweet tweets today! We're having a new lovely challenge at Sweet Stampin'; Swirls and Pearls. So why not make good use of some stamps, rubber or digi, and join us. We're being sponsored by Live & Love Crafts, please check our website for all the details and to see the teams fabulous cards.

Challenges:
Moving along with the times: In the garden
Addicted to stamps: Anything Goes
STAMPlorations: Anything Goes

Materials used:
Stamplorations bird stamped with Black Memento ink onto snippets and coloured with ProMarkers. The birds were fuzzy cut out and mounted on 3D squares.

The background was made with acrylic colours and a small Gelli plate. It gives a nice thin and really smooth coat of paint on paper, I can recommend it if you like me have a lot of unused colours.

The swirls are a Penny Black image stamped with Distress ink and the enamel dots that I went rogue with are Recollections. They do look like plastic pearls.

Thank you so much for visiting, it's much appreciated. I'm enjoying the bank holidays this weekend and looking forward to sow some plant seeds. Hope the birds won't find the seeds tasty :)

Happy Easter!!!

Chocolate Bunnies for Easter?

Good morning, hope you're having a lovely weekend. If not, lots of gentle hugs your way. When I'm down I do go for chocolate...or to be true, I always go for chocolate. So some chocolate bunnies in a jar might be something to celebrate Easter :)

Challenges:
Cute Card Thursday: Easter
Fantasy Stampers: Easter
House of cards: Silhouette
Pixie's Snippets Playground: Use snippets
Cuttlebug Mania: Happy Easter
4 Crafty Chicks: Humorous

We have an Easter challenge over at Sweet Stampin' too, if you want to join.

The lovely jar in golden embossing.

This was quite a fast card, so I made another one with the snippets, a little booboo with the Liquid Pearls was saved by adding more of the Pearls to the edges. The sentiment says Happy Easter in Swedish.

The frame was made with a ruler and a craft knife, the thrifty way for us on a budget :)

Other materials used:
QK bunny die, Art-C jar stamp and die, Exchangeables alphabet stamps, extra fine golden embossing powder, golden Liquid Pearls, embossing ink and golden Sakura pen and my much loved Cuttlebug.

Sweet Stampin' Boys to Men

Yay!!! Saturday and time for a new challenge at Sweet Stampin'. This week we want to see projects for Boys to Men, remember to stamp, rubber or digi. The winner will get a prize from All Dressed Up, please check our blog for all the details and to get inspiration from the fabulous team. I went for a very clean graphical look.

Challenges:

I made good use of a Stampscape image stamped with black Versafine ink onto glossy photo paper. I felt confident enough to write the text freehand. I also added Ikea paperclips. The black cardstock with shimmer is Panduro.

Thank you so much for visiting, it's much appreciated! What dreams do you have?

She had it all!

Yay, Friday at last!!! Some weeks are so full af surprises and work that the weekend is a welcome retreat from the every day buzz. Today I'm showing something that I've been working for four weeks or more, so no stress with this one. I used a magazine face and made something new of it. I got a lovely sweet treat from a former student and used the golden box pieces to add some ornamental gold details. Is this lady a princess caught in a golden cage? Her ear certainly looks frozen!

I would love to enter Paint Party Friday week 52 year 5.

Materials used:
Liquitex gesso and acrylic pens, a variety of acrylics, white Posca pen, Uni fine point pens, Golden Liquid pearls and Perfect Pearls, Washi tape, paper scraps.

Happy Friday!!!
